My Top Ten Favorite Things About Mercyhurst

1.  Small class sizes.  This means developing relationships with professors, as well as having a chance to speak up and ask questions.
2. Professors.  The professors at Mercyhurst have all been great.  They all hold office hours during which you can ask questions about tests and assignments.
3. Campus Life.  There are always a number of things going on around campus.  Since I don't have the chance to go home too often, it's important to me that I can always find something to do.
4. Atmosphere.  I was immediately drawn to the beautiful architecture and landscape at Mercyhurst.  It allows me to find places to relax, study, or socialize with friends all at the same time.
5. Clubs and Activities.  I've made so many friends by joining and taking an active role in different clubs.  I'm involved now with Criminal Justice Club and Yoga club...and there are so many more that I plan to become involved with in the future.
6. Real World Experience.  Last year in my Juvenile Justice Class, I had the chance to do a service learning partnership with an after-school program in Erie.  It was one of my favorite memories of the year, and I've incorporated this passion with criminal justice club.
7. Housing.  I love that even though I'm only a sophomore my roommates and I have our own apartment...still on campus.  I like to cook dinners in the kitchen just like a grown-up!
8. The 24/7 Study Lounge.  Although I am in love with the concept of sleep and said I'd never leave it, I've at times not given him the attention he deserves to focus on school work. Luckily, the 24/7 study lounge is always available to me with my student id.
9.  Campus security.  Being a criminal justice major, I'm extremely passionate about personal safety.  Although I've never felt any form of threat, police and safety is on duty all day everyday...and they're willing to walk you places if you're afraid of the dark!
10. My Friends.  Although I'm sure every college would offer a variety of connections, I truly feel that the liberal arts, small school mentality has led me to a group of people I will have for life.  It was easy to get connected, and campus life is infinitely more fun with my friends at my side.
